Another great summer here at Johns. In 2014/15 Southport test centre pass rate was 50.1%. Currently the pass rate for this year with Johns is 73%. A huge congratulations to all who have passed their test recently!
Above is a picture of Maria Petrou who recently passed with Johns.
From 8th June 2015, the driving license counterpart will no longer have any legal status. Candidates attending for a practical driving test and any new drivers would no longer need to present the paper part of the driving license, only the photo card.
In other news, since March there has been 8 pupils successfully undertake their practical driving test. All excellent drives, well done to all. Carly, pictured below, was one of the 8 to pass! Pass rate for the year so far is running at 68%.
News from the DSA is that they are to trial the new driving test at the Blackpool at St Helens test centre. The test is to include the use of ‘Sat Nav’, different manoeuvres and include the show me tell me questions whilst on the move. If it proves successful it will appear at your local test centre in the near future.
On a more personal note, 2015 is starting well, I have had a number of passes already all with very few minor faults which is excellent driving. Looking forward to seeing how the year progresses and meeting new pupils.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish pupils past and present all the very best for 2015. I am looking forward to what the year has to bring, and if it is as good as it is promising at this early stage it should be another excellent year.
